Botanical Gardens holding weekend rare fruit plant sale

mangoThe Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens will hold the second of its summer series of plant sales on Saturday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.

Discover all the exciting topical fruits available for your South Florida home garden. Carambola, loquat, kumquat, soursop, peaches, mulberry, mango, papaya-the list goes on and you go beyond citrus in your garden.

Learn the care and maintenance of these edible fruits and meet members of the Rare Fruit Club.

The sale is run by the Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, which is a volunteer group that supports the gardens. Their Web site includes additional details about the group.

The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is at 2410 S.E. Westmoreland Boulevard, one block south of Port St. Lucie Boulevard.
